Privacy Policy
Calmora is a meditation and sleep app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is stored, and how you can control it.
Information Calmora stores on your device
Calmora stores app preferences and wellness progress locally on your device. This may include your onboarding answers, display name, preferred focus, preferred practice time, selected mood, completed session history, total minutes, streak information, haptic setting, and similar app state needed to personalize the experience.
This information is stored using Apple-provided local storage technologies such as UserDefaults and SwiftData. Calmora does not require a Calmora account and does not upload this local profile or session history to a Calmora server.
Firebase
Calmora uses Firebase for app configuration and Firebase Storage to deliver remote audio content. When the app requests an audio file, Firebase may process technical information necessary to provide the file, such as network request information, IP address, device/app identifiers used by Firebase services, timestamps, requested storage paths, and related diagnostic data.
The app's Firebase configuration indicates that Firebase Analytics and advertising are disabled. Calmora does not use Firebase to build advertising profiles.
Subscriptions and Apple StoreKit
Calmora Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple using StoreKit. Apple processes payments, manages billing, handles refunds where applicable, and provides subscription entitlement status to the app. Calmora does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Audio and media
Guided meditations, sleep meditations, and bedtime stories may be streamed from Firebase Storage. Ambient sound files used by the breathing experience may be bundled locally with the app.
Data retention and deletion
Local app data remains on your device until you delete the app, reset relevant app data where available, or erase your device. Deleting the app removes the local Calmora profile and session data stored by the app on that device. Subscription purchase records and billing history are managed by Apple and must be managed through your Apple Account.
Firebase may retain technical logs according to Google's Firebase service practices. Calmora does not control Apple billing records or Firebase infrastructure logs.
Children's privacy
Calmora is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so we can review the issue.
Security
Calmora uses Apple platform storage and Firebase services to operate the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but Calmora is designed to minimize the amount of personal information it collects.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Calmora changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
